K. Chartrand Art & Jewelry
Vermont artist & jeweler, Kristine Chartrand, makes works of art and hand made jewelry in her Calais studio. Her handmade jewelry is made of silver, copper, brass, and a variety of other materials. Her work consists of contrasting colors and textures, which result in bold, dynamic pieces which reflect natural motifs. In additional to her traditional jewelry pieces, she creates jewelry out of recycled materials.
In her art, Kristine Chartrand, creates work in a variety of media but with a constant focus on conceptual work. Her work has deeper meaning and ideas that allow the viewer to question and delve into her work. Her current bodies of work range from abstract drawings, found object sculpture, to illustrative drawings/paintings.
Kristine Chartrand received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Metals and Jewelry from Savannah College of Art and Design as well as receiving her Masters of Arts in Teaching Art. While working as an artist Kristine also teaches art at the High School Level.
